Skills in Medicine – The Examination of the Spine

The structure of this book is as follows:

The anatomy and kinesiology of the spinal column as well as the general terminology are covered in Chapter 1. Chapter 2 covers the principles, technique and systematics of the physical-diagnostic examination of the spine. In Chapter 3, specific, additional examination techniques are described that go beyond the standard examination of the spine. Chapter 4 then focuses on a number of shape and posture abnormalities of the spinal column. Finally, in Chapter 5 some cases are presented to give the skills a diagnostic scope. These case presentations form a selection of the most prevalent disorders of the spine.
